Shimatani Hitomi related Q
When did you start liking Hitomi?
August 2006. Right after I watched one of her live performances of Perseus in PopJam from a low quality YouTube upload. The song is so captivating, the beat is perfect, and the melody yields the pentatonic oriental flavor which I adore. From that moment, I went on doing major research about Shimatani, and after reading many profiles and skim through the photos, I noticed on the absolute plus side, that she is absolutely beautiful! That made me like her even more. Her voice is versatile, vibrant and glorious like raindrops from heaven.
I actually was searching under the term "enka" in YouTube before I stumbled upon an upload of her live performance of Perseus. After 2 weeks of listening to her music, I've begun collecting her CDs. But alas, still lack so many first press editions and especially missed the opportunity to collect her calendars. T-T (*weep*)

Your favorite Shimatani songs?
#1 is Perseus, #2 Viola, and #3 Haru Machibito.
