
07/10/31: Shimatani Hitomi will release her 7th album, a CD dedicated to cover songs of male artists, mainly from the 80s and 90s era. There will be two editions as usual, CD and CD+DVD. The CD edition will feature a bonus track, "亜麻色の髪の乙女 (男歌 version)", whereas the CD+DVD edition will feature a DVD containing music clips of all the 12 songs.

07/07/25: On September 5th, Shimatani will release her 26th single, 深紅/愛の詩. The single are the opening and ending theme songs for the 3rd installment to the Playstation 2 mecha mix crossover series, Another Century's Episode (A.C.E). Shimatani sung the themes for the first A.C.E title, and now she returns to sing for the third. CD+DVD and CD editions are available to order. The CD+DVD edition DVD contains the PV and making of... footage. First press copies come with a bonus long A.C.E. 3 sticker.
07/04/11: Shimatani Hitomi's 25th single "Neva Eva", is going to be released on June 6th 2007 (date of release is subject to changes and delays). Similar to her recent singles, there will be two editions, CD+DVD and regular CD. "Neva Eva" is the theme song to Japan TV's "Wrestling 2007" programme. The song is in due for the summer theme as well as its ska, happy and uplifting style.
07/02/07: Tracklisting for her 6th album, PRIMA ROSA is available at her official website, as is the tracklisting for her 24th single, Dragonfly. The CD edition of PRIMA ROSA (pictured below) contains two live footage clips recorded live atTokyo Metropolitan Art Space in 2006. Plus the first press (whilst still available) includes bonus track "Futari de Iijanai", duet single from Suzuki Masayuki and Shimatani Hitomi.
06/12/30: Shimatani Hitomi will release her 24th single, "Dragonfly", a garage rock style song, on February 21st. A new style for Hitomi, music composed by 22 year old, "yamazo" and lyrics by BULGE. The B-side, of this hybrid single features lyrics written by Hitomi and music/arrangement by Sakiya Kenjiro. The CD+DVD version contains the single with the vocal and off vocal tracks, plus a DVD with the promotion video to "Dragonfly" as well as the making of video clip.
Then on March, her 6th album shall set in, featuring songs from six of her latest singles as well as several new additions. There will be a CD+DVD version available, where the DVD will include promotion videos, as well as several songs recorded from her "crossover II" concert, plus "in the making" footage. The first press of the regular CD edition will feature a bonus track.
06/12/09: On December 8th, it was announced that Hitomi has recorded a duet with Suzuki Masayuki, titled "ふたりでいいじゃない" (Futari de Iijanai). The CD single is set to be released on January 17th 2007.
06/11/09: Shortly following Hitomi's "crossover II" DVD release, she will soon release her 24th single. The single will feature two versions like her previous singles, of a limited edition CD+DVD, and the regular CD edition. At this moment, there aren't any confirmed details of the contents pertaining this future single release, but do stay tuned and visit her official websites and online retailers (e.g. CDJapan) for updates.
06/10/20: On October 21st 2006, Hitomi's Try-X calendar will be released. These come and go very quickly and are limited, so if you're a big fan, pre-order one now. Shortly after the release of Hitomi's '07 calendar, there will be the CD single release of 'PASIO' on November 15th. PASIO will be her 23rd single, and will feature vocal and off vocal tracks of her new song "PASIO" plus the final (5th) ending theme "True Blue" from "Ueki no Hosoku" (Law of Ueki).
A CD+DVD limited edition is available for order on the same date as the standard CD release, which will feature a bonus DVD containing the promotional video to "True Blue" and also Hitomi's live performance of "Destiny ~Taiyou no Hana~" in her Crossover II concert (between Sept 30th to Oct 1st) at the Tokyo Geijutsu Gekijo. The CD+DVD edition cover is shown below:
Then shortly following that, on December 15th, Hitomi's special live DVD of her "Crossover II" concert will be released.
